Fall in Berlin

Here are some random scenes from Berlin. I hoped to send these pictures as updates whenever I spontaneously took them. This desire would have been realized with technological help such as my friend Aaron recently alerted me to. Alas, I’m not that plugged in yet. Instead, here you have my random spontaneity in bulk condensed form. Enjoy! :)

  • Coffee corner at Fontina's place.

  • Random sunset from my window.

  • Passing by the Hauptbahnhof entrance

  • Typical scene from the bus passing by Potsdamer Platz

  • Sunset in my neighborhood

  • Fontina's house - can you spot the Greek flag?

  • My university (satellite campus)... starting classes Oct 20th.

  • My new office. Can you guess which side is mine?

  • Sunrise near the Hauptbahnhof

  • Sunshine in the back of my building

  • Checking out the Berlin Marathon from above

  • The healthy Danish contingent was cheering vigorously.

  • Fall's approaching at the TU-Berlin

  • Red leaves in my hof.

  • Celebrating German Unity!

  • Saturday at Krumme Lanke (a lake in Berlin)

  • Stage at the Staatsoper for one of the best (and strangest) operas I've seen - it was Eugene Onegin

  • Battling an invasion of fungi!

  • Ongoing construction on my neighboring street - notice the rerouting of the water pipes... also notice my new washing machine being delivered!

  • My new, fully installed washing machine, fits like a glove.

  • After some rain.

  • Walking to work in Autumn.

  • A blurry me.

  • Arrival to my building.

  • Shiny cathedral top.

  • The stairs remaining from tearing down the Palace der Republik (ugly, but revered old East Berlin building that was torn down finally). Why are the stairs still there???

  • At the coffee shop in Hackescher Markt

  • Yummy.

  • Riding home through the Brandenburg Gate

  • On my sweet new ride!!

  • It was only 25¤ at the Flea Market!

Things are looking up!

  1. Nice flea market wheels!! Does this mean you have two bikes now?

  2. I second the bike support! Great find :) (And great Dane spotting at the marathon – you know what your fans like to see).
